Week 4 - Colour Me Positive

 Week 4 theme is Believe in Yourself and the quote 'Believe in Yourself and the Magic will Happen'.

I chose a photo of me with two native Crimson Rosellas as I'm always thrilled to have the trust of native birds and animals, it truly is magic. 

I had difficulty getting my background to look how I imagined it so I kept stumbling along adding gesso to cover up a heap of black I'd used and also the really bright colours.  I used mica powders combined with sprays of water to soften my background before adding the very bright image.

More Than Words Mini Challenge

The mini challenge at More Than Words is to use the word 'BE', this is my take on the challenge.  I decided to make a card from my tag for this one and I can see it being for a boy (maybe it's just my colours?)

Week 3 - Colour Me Positive

This is  My Journal page for Week 3 at Colour Me Positive - Live Life and the quote was 'Make today so awesome that yesterday gets jealous'.

 

I loved doing the layers on this one and using new products - iZink provided me with the colour on the brickwork and the white splashed are gesso.

More Than Words - Grateful

The newest challenge site that I know of is More Than Words and this month they challenged us to a selfie and be inspired by the word 'Personality'.  See below image.

I've chosen to use an out take of a Christmas Selfie we were trying to shoot, we'd set up the tri-pod but my 'personality' filled husband didn't want to play serious and this is what happened.  I must admit it was a lot of fun on Christmas morning.

I've used a collection from Kaisercraft called 'Touch of Gold' 

and I was also inspired by their January sketch.

Kaisercraft - Fabulous Memory

I decided to play along at Kaisercraft this month because I purchase loads of their collections.  When I choose the collections I like I also pick up the stamp and collectables and sometimes the smaller paper pads.  On this page I've used the 'A Touch of Gold' collection with collectables and the word dies 'fabulous and memory'.  I also intend to do a second layout with an out-take photo.

Colour me Positive

Gosh its been a long time since I posted here.  I joined the site - Colour Me Positive 2016 - its a new site where you create a journal page each week.  I struggled with this one but hope to get better as the year goes on.
