Finnabairs Classes

These are the two canvases we made in the recent classes taught by the fabulous Finnabair when she visited Scrap 2 Relax in Drouin.

If ever you get the opportunity to do one of her classes you wont be disappointed.   I don't think my photos doe the canvases justice, they're so textured and the colours are gorgeous.

18th Birthday Card

A birthday card I created today, I had a bit of fun getting covered in paint and ink. Products included Dylusions Paints, Inka Gold ink, Gelatos, Mica Powder, Stencils and Prima Glitter.

The young lady it's going to has never had a handmade card made especially for her so I hope she likes it.

Lessology - Moments Canvas

I attended two classes with the fabulous Finnabair this week and couldn't help but be inspired.  I created this little canvas with dress forms chipboard for the challenge at Lessology

You can use all those buttons, metals and bits and pieces you collect and put in your stash.  I have upcycled butttons on this canvas.

And now a close-up as the top photo has a lot of glare.

I'm back again on another beautiful Sunday morning, a perfect day for the V8 Supercar race at Bathurst in NSW.  My hubby likes to watch it all day so you might guess what that means - did you have a guess?  yes a day of playing with scrappy goodness for me.

I'd love if you could pop over to Deer & Fawn Designs   and see my full page, it's a little bit different for me at the moment.

Deer & Fawn Designs - Vietnam

At Deer & Fawn Designs this month they have a colour challenge, scrap with Orange and as it's one I don't do all that often thought I'd give it a go. The link to the website follows:
http://deerandfawndesigns.blogspot.com.au/2015/08/september-challenge.html

Here's my layout.

and a couple of close-ups.

I'm loving Charms Creations embellishments and you can certainly find one that suits your layout.  The link to the shop is http://ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/

I've also used pieces from another great etsy store in D-Lish Scraps.   The link is d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au

The wood veneer is from my stash.

Scrap the Boys - They must be Boys

I truly loved the sketch by Rikki at Scrap the Boys  this month.  It's so versatile for not only boys but any other subject so thank you Rikki Graziani.

Once again I've used some Charms Creations  'Do it Youself' chevrons, stamped with a Kaisercraft stamp, you'll also see a Heavenly Heart here too.  The rest is patterned paper 'collectables and stamp from the Mister Fox collection at Kaisercraft.

Off the Rails - Just a Little Randomness

I created this layout because the colours of the mood board at Off the Rails are so striking and one of my favourite combinations.
Once again I've kept it simple and on black - I'm drawn to this background at the moment.

I absolutely love Charms Creations  embellishments and can't get enough of them for my stash.  I cut the stars and doily from glitter paper and the tiny ones are from a hand punch.

D-Lish Scraps - Be Free

I love the colours from the challenge at D-Lish Scraps this month and the kit was full of beautiful goodies.  I've decided to keep it clean and simple on a black background.

Anna's Craft Cupboard - You & Me

I just loved the sketch at Anna's Craft Cupboard this month and I used the challenge to play with my new Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection.  I even used part of the strip on the bottom of the page because it suited what I wanted to use in the journaling. Here it is!

and now the sketch.

Kraft + - Wish Upon a Star

Here's my first for the month, it's for another great challenge at  Kraft + this month, I've included the sketch below my page.

ARTastic - Brothers United

I posted this layout on fb a week ago and completely forgot to create the post for ARTastic.
I must have been having a senior's moment I think!!!
The challenge is all about backgrounds and that's what I concentrated on with this layout, even preparing it before I'd chosen the photo.

I've used a fabulous ScrapFx alpha stencil along with some stamping and embossing with Stampendous Embossing Powder (I love it a lot).  Also on this layout is some 2Crafty chipboard embossed with the same powder and a gorgeous Charms Creations Handmade Star.

Here's the inspiration photo from ARTastic.

Berry71Bleu - You Are My Sunshine

Wow this was a nice bright colour mood board at Berry71Bleu and I had just the right paper.

The patterns on my page were inspired by a dress I saw on a news reporter on the TV.

I've used the sewing machine for the borders on all the pieces and I scratched around the photo with the Prima Distress Tool (I love that tool a lot).

Here's the fabulous mood board from Berry71Bleu

'
I even used the words for my title.

Kaisercraft - Unique

I entered the Kaisercraft challenge this month as they have a great sketch to use. I used paper from the Chase Rainbows Collection and also fussy cut some butterflies form the 6X6 paper pad.  You might also notice the little pearls that I found in my stash and some of the collectables.  It's always handy to purchase the matching paper pads and collectables, that way the matching has been done for you.

Here's the Sketch.

Scrapbook Boutique & Challenge YOUrself #21 - Keep Calm and be Creative

I've combined two challenges with this page because I was inspired to use my newly purchased 'Prills' when I saw the Inspiration photo from Scrapbook Boutique and the quote is a beauty from Challenge YOUrself.
I used some older papers from my stash along with the newer product 'Prills'.
Thanks challenge yourself for making me scrap a photo of myself.

Below is the inspiration photo from Scrapbook Boutique.

and the quote from Challenge YOUrself.
