Paper Stories Challenge

This is my attempt at this challenge over at Paper Stories the paper was a birthday present and I really wanted to see what I could do with it.  I thought it was quite dull so kept adding some mixed media to see if I could make it pop - still not sure if that was achieved???

Art Journal Pages

I played around with the flower page for ages, and finally I added some gold leaf paint to some of the raised petals that didn't quite stick and I quite like it now.  The raindrops also had some gold paint treatment after considerable misting in two different colours, then some stamping with Tim Holtz Distress Ink, I also added a couple of rub-ons to see if they would adhere to the gesso and ink - so far they've stayed put....

Zeus & Zoe December Challenge

This month the challenge at Zeus & Zoe was for Shine & Sparkle.  
I've used some Kaisercraft paper that my step-daughter gave me for my birthday (22nd December) and I've used flowers and flourishes from my stash.  My shine & sparkle comes from the Kindyglitz decorated alpha, the Allison Ellis glitter on my round embellishments, Christmas Tree and journal tag, Kaisercraft rhinestones on my Christmas Tree and the little metal dragonfly and jewellery piece.  I've also added a stick pin that I made earlier in the year.

I've adjusted the lighting via Photoshop Elements but it's still not showing correctly on my computer so for those who have a later model computer or iPad you may be able to see the colour and glitter a bit better (I hope).  And now a few close-ups from my DOUBLE layout.
