I've just popped in to share a couple of photos with you, we have a beautiful sunny day here today and seeing the plants come into flower is a reminder of our glorious spring weather.
My grandmother gave me the bulbs for these Hippeastrums and every year when they bloom my memories of her come flooding back. When I walk into my garden I say "Hi Ma' and I feel a sense of closeness to her, she was so much more than a grandmother to me, she was also my best friend and mentor.
This photo is of my other favourite plant in the garden, it's a grevillea named 'Ned Kelly', I bought it because Kelly was my grandparents surname and my grandfather always told me we were related to Ned...............

Red Earth Scrapping
October Stash Stomper Challenge
I created an off-the-page mini album for this challenge and now I know why I don't do off-the-page very often. It seemed to take me hours of preparation before I could even get excited about putting something together. See what you think!

123 Challenge
The challenge for this month over at http://ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/123challenge
is to Use the Word Miss, the colour School Bus Yellow and strips of paper.
Here's a couple of close-ups.
I love this Amy Tangerine paper from American Crafts and the bright colour is not the first colour I usually reach for so this was a good challenge. Another thing I don't usually use is staples so thought I would include them on this layout, I've also done a bit of doodling and inking of edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, the twine is from Hemptique and the little heart paper strips are from the bottom of the patterned paper (you can use everything without wasting)....

Scrap Friends & Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge
I'm using the fabulous sketch #6 from Scrap Friends
http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/2012/10/sketch-challenge-6.html
I've reversed the bottom of the sketch to better fit the photo and title.
The paper is Cre8tiv from KMart and Amy Tangerine from American Craft, Kaisercraft pearl flourish and stamp, Amy Tangerine from American Craft and Carolee Creations alpha, Prima flowers, We are Memory Keepers washi tape, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, versa color ink, and flowers from my stash. A couple of close-ups.
I hope there's not too much glare on the photo because it was very bright outside when I photographed this page.
