SBT50 The Block Challenge - Week 5 - Room 2
This was a huge challenge today as I'm away from home this weekend and forgot my tool bag that has EVERYTHING in it. Had to make do and use a kitchen spatula for the paste and luckily I found a glue stick in the caravan. So here's my interpretation of the challenge.

 

I've used 3 Colour Blast Colour Pastes, three stencils, three washi tapes, three photos, three little word title, and three enamel dots.

Kraft + - Guest Designer for October Blast from the Past

I was thrilled to be asked to Guest Design for Kraft + this month and the name of the challenge is October Blast from the Past.  Here's my interpretation of the challenge. 

 

I used brads and vellum .

Scrapping Clearly - Cyber Crop - Monochromatic

I love the soft colours of this Bo Bunny collection and I've been hoarding it but was glad when I saw this challenge.  I also adore the heart, cloud and geo marker from Charms Creations , they're all handmade and so pretty.

This challenge was great and could have applied to many photos but I decided to do a 'me' photo this time.

I love this one of the little one, so glad she likes the camera.  I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio Colour Me Happy collection and the paint is 'smooched' on the background (just a really cheap kids set of shimmer paint).  I also used the same paint to colour the floral section on the left.

Not sure if the colour is totally accurate but I did my best. The compass is whipped spackle coloured with silver metallic paint and I've used Heidi Swapp Teal Color Shine.

I loved this, the background is inspired by Finnabair and I couldn't wait to add a modern twist with my crazy bird hand painted with shimmery paint. I added the tiny feathers to the top of his head.  We also needed to use paint and feathers.....

I found this difficult because I don't do handstitching but tried with a simple border and a handmade knot in the centre of the pale pink flower and also the centre of the button in the title.

 

Scrapping Clearly - Cyber Crop - Project Life

If you're looking for something to get creative with this weekend Scrapping Clearly  have some great prompts in their Cyber Crop. This is mine for Challenge 5 which is Project Life with bling.    This was good timing for me as I'm currently doing my album for a cruise we went on earlier this year. The two bottom photos also have gold lettering but Its difficult to see here :( I've used glitter paper and a glitter pen to add dots to the title.

Loved the bright colours of this room and I had fun with this layout using stencils, chipboard, brads and foam pieces to add my texture.

I love the mood board for SBT50 'THE BLOCK' challenge - Week 1 - Room 2. It gave me the opportunity to create another page for my great granddaughter.

SBT50 'The Block' - Today

My first layout for - SBT50 'THE BLOCK' Super Challenge 2016 - Week 1 - Room 1.
I used a woodgrain stencil for the background and a cut file from the Hip Kit Club as my interpretation of the triangles in the mood board.

Off the Rails - Crystal Castle

I love creating on black cardstock so the challenge at Off the Rails was one I had to have a go at.  We recently travelled with our caravan and one area we visited was around Byron Bay in NSW.  We came across The Crystal Castle privately owned botanical gardens and it was truly beautiful although it rained the whole time we were there.

 

Here's the mood board for the challenge.

The background was created using Dylusions paints with a wide brush before splattering WOW large glitter over the top.  The alpha is one of the Thickers range and the bow, flair and doily are from D-Lish Scraps.

Hip Kit Club - Memories

My latest layout for the Hip Kit Club featuring my great granddaughter, she's such a happy little thing and doesn't mind having her photo taken (guess she lives in the age where every moment can be captured and shared with family).

 

The challenge was in the form of a mood board which can be seen below. 

My inspiration was taken from the bottom left and centre photos.

 

Kraft + - Up Up & Away

My submission for the current August challenge at Kraft +, there's a great mood board and the challenge is to use tassels.  I made a couple of my own to attach to the hot air balloons and I had a border of them to use at the bottom of the photo.  This is the first page from our recent holiday to Birdsville in outback Queensland here in Australia.

Scrap the Girls - Baby Girl

Here's my second submission to a challenge this month and its to Scrap the Girls .  My new great granddaughter features on this one and I took my inspiration from the mood board using the bottom teal colour.

 

The Mood Board is beautiful this month.

 

 

Pixels & Paper - Us Together

It's been so long since I blogged or entered a challenge and am happy to submit a layout to Pixels & Paper August Challenge.  This layout is of my granddaughter and new great granddaughter.  I've loved going back to a more clean lined style and my Hip Kit Club kit supplied me with everything on this page. 
My tiny product are those gorgeous tiny acrylic stars.
