Attempt at a Canvas

Today I thought I would have a play with a canvas using some of my art journaling techniques.   I must admit I lost interest when I found other embellishments that went together better than this one so in the future I'm going to try another small canvas.

Skissedilla #203

This great sketch is from Skissedilla, I love it and hope to use it again.  Here's my entry for this one.

Products Used:
Kaisercraft: The Lakehouse Patterned Paperand Collectables, Title, Rose Flower
The Crafters Workshop:  Mini Circle Explosion CW278s
Prima Marketing:  Zip, Flower and Ink
Green Tara: Small Roses
ScrapFx:  Butterfly Circle Frame
Pipe Dream Ink:  Embossing Powders in River Rose and Sandstone
Seam Binding from Craft Queen
Viva Pearl Pen:  Cream
Tattered Angels Glimmermist:  Pearl
Tuille, Gauze from my stash
It's hard to see the stencil on bottom left and top right hand side of page and I don't think I let it dry long enough before taking the photo.

Border stamps

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my previous post.  The border is a stamp from Dylusions that I purchased for the lovely Georgia Heald at Paper Stories.  I've used it before and always had comments and it comes with six other border stamps.  It's called 'Around the Edge' - DYR34421.
Lizzy I cut a circle and crossed across the middle then rolled it back before securing with staples and brads.
Sandie I smiled when I heard we had Slinky and Malinki.

CSI Case #64

My scheme:
Grow - matting around photo
Sprout - flowers and colour around the word 'create' and triangle stencil
Transform - also matting around photo, circle 'hey you' and leaf flourish
Expand - back layer and word title etc
Attempt - background of bird and patterned paper (doesn't show very well)

My Evidence:
Bird on canvas, top right
Random washi tape birds (hiding)
leaves, pen, diamond stencil

My Testimony:
Verbs in title, free handwriting for journaling

Hat Parade

I've been busy today making a hat for my grandson's Easter 'I Like or My Favourite' hat parade tomorrow.  He wanted some of his favourite toys from under the sea and he was adamant that we shouldn't see the actual hat. Here's what I came up with trying to make the blue satin a bit wavy like the sea and glued so we couldn't see any hat.

I found a free template for the shark, cut it our, painted and then glued it to the hat.
